Beauty in the Evidence: UW graduate gallery opening
What a wonderful evening with friends; and a perfect culmination to our hard-earned certificates! As a celebration of our completion at the University of Washington, the 2017 class of the Natural Science Illustration program held a successful gallery opener at the Burke Museum.
I look back to the day when I first became interested in Botanical Illustration. Similar to many others' stories, I always preferred to paint plants and animals, but didn't know that there was a niche that married science and art like Scientific Illustration. I consider this decision one of my most important in my life and am so grateful for the experience. Thank you to my classmates and teachers who shared their knowledge and passion; I hope to continue to learn from you and wish you all the best!
The art will be on display from Thursday, July 6, 2017 – Sunday, January 14, 2018. The museum normally charges an entrance fee, however, is free on First Thursdays.
